Have you noticed that our perception of time continually shifts as we get older?
When we are children, time passes very slowly, there is no concept of what an hour means. No difference between a minute or an hour - a day or a week. Time can not pass fast enough for a child. The proverbial "Are we there yet?" says it all.

Then we cannot wait until we are a teenagers; then until we can drive; then it’s our 21st birthday; then we are pushing for college and career development milestones. Then, around the age of 30 or so, our perception shifts. We are not so excited to see time pass.
Even though we aren't thrilled to have the months roll by, we aren't done pushing time along. How many times have we impatiently drummed our fingers waiting for a traffic jam to clear, the microwave to beep, a website to load, or for a reply to our txt.
How would your life's goals change if, say at the age of 20, you started each day with the thought "Today is the first day of the rest of my life."
Use your time very wisely, it is a critical resource that is non-renewable.

Great advice. For me time is moving way to fast and I do wish it would slow down.
